Class Poem

Spring has come 'round once again
But this one has special meaning.
For some of us it is and end,
For others just a beginning.

We, the Seniors, must make a decision
Of the path our lives will take,
And individually draw the division
Of the successes and failures we make.

The road has been long with many bends,
But over the years we've succeeded
With the help of our teachers and friends
In gaining the knowledge we needed.

Though time will change each one of us
The memories we'll still recall
Are those we shared at Southern High,
Which are the best of all.

Class Song

Now that we are going, it's very hard to do
Knowing we are going, brings memories anew
We remember when, High School did begin
But now even those days, have come to an end.

We'll remember always, our days at Southern High
Knowing we have prospered, as years have gone by
The Friends we have made, the ones we will keep
As we look upon, the world at our feet.

Could we ever forget the times which have been so great
All the football games, class trips, and special prom dates?

Yes, now that we are going, we can no longer stay
Southern we will think of you in future days
The class of 68, knows how fast time can fly
And so we say to you, good-bye
